Dentist Ripon

Get to Know Madeline Berst, DDS

If you want to feel listened to, valued, and supported at the dentist, then Dr. Berst will probably be a great fit. Her approach prioritizes real connections and conversations over just talking about teeth and treatments. By truly understanding her patients beyond their smiles, she’s able to tailor her approach so that it perfectly suits the individual from both a health and aesthetics standpoint.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Berst grew up around dentistry, so it has always felt like a natural fit for her. By the time she was in middle school, she already had her heart set on becoming a dentist and hasn’t looked back since!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Originally from Cedar Rapids, IA, Dr. Berst completed both her undergraduate and dental education at the University of Iowa. A standout student, she was awarded the Dr. Milton S. and Alice Wirtz Scholarship and is the current President of the Iowa Chapter of the American Student Dental Association. She also served as a Mentor for the IASDA Pre-Dental Academy and conducted research focusing on teaching urgent care (which is now part of the curriculum at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry). Working as a volunteer with the Iowa Mission of Mercy, she gained valuable hands-on experience that still serves her to this day.

A member of the American Academy of Women in Dentistry, Dr. Berst has presented at numerous professional conferences across the country and remains committed to continuing education so she can deliver the most comfortable, predictable, and effective care for her patients.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

The youngest of three children, Dr. Berst’s family is still based in Iowa, and she always looks forward to them visiting her in Wisconsin. When she isn’t at the office or with friends, you’ll often find her baking, cooking, going to yoga, or reading to unwind.
